Sights and Sounds: The Jungle Gym @ Atria Shopping Gallery

With the haze blowing in and outdoor play being out of the question, I decided to take the boys to the jungle gym to help them unleash their restless energy in physical play rather than keep them cooped up at home where they would surely drive their mother insane. We got word that the BIGGEST Jungle Gym in Malaysia hadContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: The Jungle Gym @ Atria Shopping Gallery”

Skiing at Falls Creek in Victoria, Australia

After hearing so much about how wonderful Ski School is, we planned a trip to the mountains so that G1 and G2 could get their first taste of skiing. Where to go? Although there are many places you can go skiing with the kids, we chose Falls Creek in Victoria, Australia because: We have family in the region. VictorianContinue reading “Skiing at Falls Creek in Victoria, Australia”

Sights and Sounds: Avillion Admiral Cove in Port Dickson

DH was participating in a duathlon in Port Dickson over the weekend so the boys and I decided to tag along to see what mischief we could get up to while Daddy was sweating it out. We stayed at Avillion Admiral Cove which turned out have quite a lot of activities for a family staycation… It would haveContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: Avillion Admiral Cove in Port Dickson”

Sights and Sounds: Mazes and Places in Victoria

I’ve always had a thing for mazes – especially those life-sized hedge mazes like the one I saw in Ashcombe Maze when I was younger: Judging from the reaction I had from the boys when we visited The Maze in Swan Valley, I reckon they’re partial to mazes as well. Unfortunately, the hedge maze wasn’t ready back whenContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: Mazes and Places in Victoria”

On the Hunt for Dinosaur DNA in Bukit Dinding

Our foray into nature and the great outdoors continues in Bukit Dinding… The drill sergeant, aka Mum, sent the boys hiking again. This was Daddy’s trail so even I had no idea how far we were going. I half expected that we would have to turn back before making it all the way to the top butContinue reading “On the Hunt for Dinosaur DNA in Bukit Dinding”

Hiking Trails – Bukit Kiara

We’ve taken up hiking… or rather Mama’s plan is that the family is going to take up hiking… Let me count the reasons why: G1 hasn’t been doing too well in PE – very likely because he’s far too sedentary and fitness levels are subpar. So hiking is just another way to get him moving and hopefully increaseContinue reading “Hiking Trails – Bukit Kiara”

Sights and Sounds: EnerZ Indoor Extreme Park

I discovered this one through a friend… EnerZ Indoor Extreme Park EnerZ Indoor Extreme Park in Subang is the latest extreme theme park to land in Malaysia. Featuring trampolines, sky ropes, an obstacle course, badminton courts, martial arts and other services, this place is designed for the young and young-at-heart. After our success at District 21 with the boys, theyContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: EnerZ Indoor Extreme Park”

Sights and Sounds: Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas

The boys had their annual eye examination. G2’s hyperopia appears to be slowly correcting itself. G1, unfortunately, has developed mild myopia. Although it is not significant enough to warrant getting him glasses, I am concerned. While myopia has been linked to hereditary genes, there is research to support its prevention by spending more time outdoors. AccordingContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas”

When Robin Hood and Lil’ John Visited Stars Archery

G2 has a thing for Robin Hood. From time to time, he’ll ask to dress up as Robin Hood. Since the boys were on holidays, I decided to give them a real life “Robin Hood” experience with a bow and arrow… Stars Archery We went to Stars Archery at Sunway Pyramid and the boys went two rounds with 53Continue reading “When Robin Hood and Lil’ John Visited Stars Archery”

Sights and Sounds: Royal Selangor Factory Tour

I have a penchant for collecting memories so I like to take the boys to see interesting things and experience new places. I keep my collection labelled under sights and sounds and I hope to expand the list as the boys grow older. When they grow up, I hope that they will continue this practice and cherish the moments we spendContinue reading “Sights and Sounds: Royal Selangor Factory Tour”
