Magic School Bus’ Science Kits are a series of fun and exciting science kits based on the popular Magic School Bus book series by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. Ms Frizzle and her students make science an exhilarating experience for budding scientists. This series has won over 40 awards, including:

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride with the Magic School Bus as they explore the field of chemistry. Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride into the wonders of nature. Ms Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride into the mysteries of rainbows with these awesome experiments. Young Scientists wear rainbow glasses, design a rainbow spinner, blow rainbow bubbles, make rainbow milk, bend white light, mix colored paddles, bounce light waves off ceilings, recreate Newton’s prism experiment, and much, much more.

The World of Germs

Ms Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride into the world of germs with these thrilling experiments. Young Scientists will grow bacteria and fungi, test antibiotics, make a fungus bubble, explore antibiotics, grow mold, wake up fungi, cultivate bacteria in yogurt, use yeast to inflate a balloon, and much, much more.

Erupting Volcanoes

Ms. Frizzle and her students take young scientists on a wild ride while blasting off with erupting volcanoes. Young scientists learn about the layers of the Earth, study tectonic plate movement, explore different volcanic shapes and eruptions, make real pumice float, create the ultimate “lava” mixture, paint and explode a volcano and much, much more. This explosive kit includes:

Diving into Slime, Gel, and Goop

Young scientists are asked by Ms. Frizzle to solve all kinds of fun and unique problems that lead to discoveries in the fields of chemical, electrical, mechanical and even civil engineering. Young Scientists become engineers when they build a solar oven, design a car, construct a bridge, create solar energy, design an electric game, make a simple machine, construct a submarine and much, much more! This bus-shaped kit includes:

  • a data notebook to record experiment designs
  • science components such as a solar panel, motor, buzzer, electric wires and more

The Secrets of Space

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride into the secrets of space with spectacular experiments. Youngsters construct a night-vision flashlight, design a solar system mobile, build a constellation box, draw constellation cards, recreate the phases of the moon, make a model of a solar eclipse, observe magic beads change color, assemble a working telescope, and much, much more. Slime and Polymer Lab

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride with The Magic School Bus as they explore slime and polymers. Young Scientists take polymers out of milk, make slime, create goop, produce a snow eruption, melt snow, grow super-absorbent flowers, germinate seeds in polymers, perform a polymer trick, dehydrate polymers, and much, much more! Back in Time with the Dinosaurs

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride back in time with the dinosaurs through these marvelous experiments. Young Scientists create a timeline, design a diorama, build a wooden dinosaur replica, make cast and mold fossils, mold clay dinosaur teeth, simulate a dino dig, fold 3D dinosaurs, and much, much more.

Weather Lab

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride with The Magic School Bus as they explore the weather. Young Scientists learn about the weather by spinning a pinwheel, making a tornado in a bottle, swirling a paper snake, recreating the water cycle, creating a rain cloud, using a sun dial, constructing a barometer, catching a rainbow and learning about the greenhouse effect. Young Scientists become their own meteorologist by building the bus-shaped weather station with a thermometer, rain gauge, wind meter, wind vane and compass. The weather is then tracked on the enclosed weather chart with colorful stickers. This captivating bus-shaped kit comes packed with:

Microscope Lab

Solar Energy to the Rescue

Ms. Frizzle and her students take Young Scientists on a wild ride with solar energy to the rescue. Young Scientists explore the greenhouse effect, collect real carbon dioxide, recreate global warming in a bottle, use a solar panel to spin a fan, make a solar secret code, design solar spinners, watch solar energy inflate balloons, and much, much more.
