Sounded intriguing so I ordered the series – or whatever I could get my hands on (which is basically book 1 and 2 – two of seven books planned that have been published already). We’re still waiting for our books to arrive, but here’s what the Infinity Ring series is about…
The series features two best friends – Dak and Sera – who discover the Infinity Ring which is the key to time travel. The ring draws them into a centuries-long secret war for the fate of mankind. Recruited by the Hystorians, a secret society that dates back to Aristotle, the kids learn that history has gone disastrously off course — and it’s up to them to save it.
How it Works
1. Read the Book. Each book comes with a strategy guide (Hystorian Guide) that will help you when you are playing the online adventure.
2. Go on the online adventure to discover what has gone wrong in history and fix it. Along the way, you will play mini games and complete side challenges as you embark on your quest to save history. Play the game on your computer, mobile or tablet.
Book 1: A Mutiny in Time – James Dashner
When best friends Dak Smyth and Sera Froste discover the key to time travel — the Infinity Ring — they’re swept up in a centuries-long secret war for the fate of mankind. Recruited by the Hystorians, a secret society that dates back to Aristotle, the kids learn that history has gone disastrously off course — and it’s up to them to fix it, with the help of teenage Hystorian-in-training Riq. First stop: Spain, 1492, where a sailor named Christopher Columbus is about to be thrown overboard in a deadly mutiny.
Game 1: The King of Diamonds
It’s the autumn of 1792, and the French Revolution has made the streets of Paris a dark and dangerous place.
Amidst the chaos, the SQ has set its sights on the Crown Jewels. With the famous French Blue diamond in its possession, the evil SQ would have the power to crush the Revolution. And the only way to stop them is to steal the diamond before they can.
Book 2: Divide and Conquer – Carrie Ryan
Hundreds of ships carrying thousands of Viking warriors are attacking medieval Paris. The Parisians are fighting back, but they can only hold out for so long. And that’s bad news — especially since Dak has been captured and forced to work with the invading army while Sera and Riq defend Paris from within. No matter which side wins, the kids will lose . . . unless Dak can find an ally among some of history’s fiercest warriors. Enemy troops want to kidnap the First Lady! Play as Dak, Sera, and Riq as they race to save Dolley Madison — and the entire United States.
